Trip – Tofo, Ponta do Ouro, Kruger National Park
Epic Beach & Bush Adventure: Shark Edition
Immerse yourself in this epic adventure, where Mozambique’s warm summer waters (from October to March) bring you face-to-face with some of the ocean’s most awe-inspiring predators. During this shark season, dive into the vibrant waters of Tofo and Ponta do Ouro, swimming alongside bull sharks, tiger sharks, hammerheads, leopard sharks, and the iconic whale sharks and manta rays that make Mozambique a premier dive destination. But what truly sets this experience apart is that Mozambique is one of the few places in the world where you can combine world-class diving with a Big 5 safari. After exploring the depths of the ocean, you’ll cross into neighboring South Africa for a thrilling safari in Kruger National Park, where lions, elephants, and other iconic wildlife roam free. This unique combination of ocean and land adventures makes Mozambique unlike any other dive destination.
But this is more than just a diving trip. From the moment you arrive, you’ll be immersed in a journey that combines world-class diving with community empowerment. You’ll not only explore Mozambique’s underwater wonders but also engage with the local community and learn about conservation efforts led by local NGOs in collaboration with Maputo Dive Center. Programs like our Zero to Hero Diving initiative train and empower Mozambican community members and marine biologists, ensuring that the preservation of these marine ecosystems is driven by those who call Mozambique home.
Whether you’re diving with sharks, participating in cultural experiences, or marveling at Kruger’s wildlife, each day offers a chance to connect deeply with Mozambique’s people, history, and natural environment. This adventure is designed to leave you with more than just unforgettable memories – it’s an invitation to actively engage in marine conservation, support local communities, and experience the true essence of Mozambique, both in the water and on land.
