 Itinerary

Day 1: Arrival and Welcome

  • Arrive in Tofo and get settled into your accommodation.
  • Kick off your experience with an engaging introduction from one of our team members, where you’ll meet the team, learn about the upcoming trip, and get an overview of Mozambique’s incredible history and marine life.
  • Enjoy a relaxed, beachfront seafood barbecue (locally called a “braai”) where you can mingle with fellow divers and get a taste of local cuisine.

Day 2: Diving and Historic Exploration

  • Start your day with a hearty breakfast
  • Embark on a double tank deep dive, exploring the vibrant coral reefs and looking for Tofo’s marine megafauna like whale sharks and manta rays
    Afterward, indulge in an authentic Mozambican lunch at Tofo Tofo, a locally owned restaurant so nice they named it twice!
  • In the afternoon, take a guided tour of the historic city of Inhambane, known for its colonial architecture and rich cultural heritage

Day 3: Diving and Local Life

  • After breakfast, dive into another double tank deep dive, uncovering more of Tofo’s spectacular underwater landscapes
  • Enjoy lunch at your leisure—whether with your group or on your own—before heading off for a local community tour. Visit a local household with its own farm (or “machamba”), and harvest cassava leaves for your hands-on cooking experience—prepare and cook matapa, a beloved local dish, which you’ll take home to enjoy for dinner

  • Relish a delicious lunch at Green Turtle restaurant, a local favorite with ocean views
  • Engage in a thought-provoking talk on local conservation efforts by Ocean Revolution, a community-driven NGO working to preserve Tofo’s marine ecosystem and improve local livelihoods
  • Cap off the day with a Dhow sunset cruise across the scenic Inhambane Bay
