Humans of Mozambique
Celebrating Mozambique’s ocean stories to inspire conservation and community action
Humans of Mozambique: Ocean Stories is a storytelling initiative that brings to life the deep connection between the Mozambican people and the ocean. This project focuses on sharing personal stories of fishermen, divers, conservationists, and coastal communities whose lives are intertwined with the sea. Through powerful interviews, photographs, and videos, we document how the ocean shapes local culture, livelihoods, and traditions. These stories are not just about challenges but also about hope, resilience, and the efforts being made to protect the marine environment.
By highlighting these voices, we aim to raise awareness about the importance of sustainable practices, promote marine conservation efforts, and inspire others to take action. This project is part of a broader mission to celebrate the human element of Mozambique’s underwater world while advocating for the preservation of its delicate marine ecosystems.
